Exams

The Imaging Center open MRI can perform a high-quality exam on your patient due to the technology we offer and our excellent staff. A few details about our Hitachi Oasis Open MRI:

• 1.2T field strength. Most other open MRIs vary from 0.3-1.0T field strength
• Image quality comparable to closed MRI exams, and even better for many extremity studies
• 660 pound table weight limit to accommodate most bariatric patients
• All exams can be scanned at true isocenter, which allows for excellent extremity imaging and comfortable patient positions
• Multi-channel imaging coils, including dedicated wrist, knee, shoulder, neurovascular, abdominal, spine, and chest coils
• Excellent metal artifact reduction sequences for minimizing artifact from metallic implants. The combination of 1.2T field strength and the proprietary Hitachi sequence “primeFSE” provide artifact reduction that is second to none
• Fat saturation sequences available for all body parts
• RADAR motion free imaging techniques
• MRA studies
• MRI power injector for high-quality contrast boluses during abdominal, pituitary, and MRA studies
• MRI video goggles provide a better experience during the exam, especially for claustrophobic or pediatric patients

Reports

The Imaging Center provides prompt imaging reports that are available on PACS and distributed in written form by fax to physician’s offices. Most reports are available within 24 hours and frequently sooner. CDs can be mailed or sent with the patient if requested.

The radiologists and staff of The Imaging Center work to provide referring providers with diagnostic and therapeutic radiology in a straightforward, efficient manner and in an environment that values patient’s health, convenience, and time. We offer some of the lowest costs for imaging in northern Colorado and are the preferred provider of radiology services with many insurers.

Our radiologists are available for consultation on a 24-hour basis at (970) 225-XRAY or 1-888-325-XRAY. They also welcome opportunities to provide radiologic information through continuing medical education forums.

The physicians from Advanced Medical Imaging Consultants, P.C., staff  The Imaging Center at Johnstown and The Imaging Center at Harmony.
